Elf Hat

The hat itself is made using an H (5.0 mm) hook and three colors of Worsted Weight (4 ply) yarn.  The rows are alternating row of all dc or sc stitches.  The colors are carried up through the rows and are not fastened off at the end of each row.  The bottom (widest part of the hat) is 65 dc and the hat slowly decreases until only 6 dc remains.  A pom-pom is added to the top and a simple shell border to the brim.
