voodoo doll

Just in time for Halloween... I followed this free, easy pattern to make my own voodoo doll.  I used my glow-in-the-dark yarn to make this beauty.  She is about 12" from head to toe.  I love how she turned out, but I may follow the pattern's instructions for darkening the white yarn in spots.

Another Great Spider Mambo Design

If you couldn't tell, I am a huge fan of Spider Mambo patterns.  This is another one of the patterns I was lucky enough to test for Spider Mambo.  You can find the pattern on Ravelry here, but you really should check out all her other patterns, too.  I love them.

I almost didn't do the flower and leaves around each skull.  Instead, I gave it a try and I am so thrilled I did.  They are really easy and quick, but wow- so pretty and delicate.  I can definitely think of lots of places to add these.  Beautiful.

Creepy Pirate Hat

This beanie-style hat is another great design from Spider Mambo.  The pattern can be found here.

I found these awesome skull and crossbone buttons on Ebay.  I have a ton left over.  What else should I add these to?

Snoopy Happy Dance Hat

I made this adorable Snoopy hat for a friend's toddler.  This particular friend loves all things Peanuts, so I think she will be quite surprised by this hat.  This is a free pattern on Ravelry that can be found here.  It works up quickly and the instructions are easy to read if you are familiar with patterns.  Even the adult sizes would not use a lot of yarn, which is worsted weight (10 ply).

Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost

A very generous friend gifted me some Glow-in-the-Dark yarn from Amazon.  It is a fingering weight (4 ply) yarn and so I joined it together with a worsted weight yarn to make this little guy.  I adore the outcome.  Oh my gosh.

This great pattern is available on Ravelry here.  Let me know if you give this pattern a try.

The yarn is Gert's Glowhouse.  Definitely fun and I used very little of one skein for this little guy.  I love how it accents the stitches in the ghost, which would not have happened with a thicker, one strand of glow-in-the-dark yarn.  I have some of this left over, so let me know if you think of any other fun projects I should make and give a nighttime glow!

Granny Infinity Square Skull

I love this take on the traditional granny square.  This pattern allows you to replace any and all traditional square items you may make with a fun skull pattern.  Think of all the awesome projects you can create with this adaptable pattern (blankets, parts of blankets, wash cloths, hats, coasters, hot pads, and so on...)

Be sure to check out all the other awesome Spider Mambo Designs patterns.

Medusa Lovey

Oh my gosh.  I am so happy I finally purchased this pattern.  I had been coveting it for a while.  If you love mythology like I do, you'll love this pattern.  It works up quickly and is a beautifully designed pattern with great photo instructions.  Definitely check out the designers other great designs, too.

Oh My Gosh!

Though I was honestly a little hesitant to do so, I shared my version of Stress Baal with the Stress Baal app's creator. If you haven't already downloaded it, what are you waiting for? You need to go do it right now. I'll wait.
At best I figured I'd get a form-letter response. Not only did he reply, but he shared it on the Stress Baal tumblr page. Check it out right here, right now. I'll wait again. Promise. http://stressbaal.tumblr.com/…/baal-of-yarn-you-guys-i-am-f…
Oh my gosh!
Even better, though I love the little guy, my Stress Baal is now in a box and will be on his way to his original creator in the morning. Wow, wow, wow!
I am seriously excited.

Allan the Alien

We have been invaded!  I adore this little guy so much.  This was a test pattern I did for an incredibly talented "critter" maker.  You can find her patterns on Ravelry.  To make your own alien, be sure to check out this pattern that was recently released.  He's sure to be a hit with your favorite Martian lovers.
